AIIMS Gorakhpur has announced online applications for 56 Group A faculty positions across medical and surgical specialties. Doctors with MD, MS, M.Ch, or DM degrees can apply at aiimsgorakhpur.edu.in by 14 November 2026.

AIIMS Gorakhpur Faculty Recruitment 2026 Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Gorakhpur, an Institute of National Importance established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has released its 2nd Rolling Faculty Advertisement 2026.

The institute seeks experienced medical educators for Direct Recruitment, Deputation, and Contractual appointments across 25 clinical departments.

Important Dates Schedule

• Last Date for Online Registration and Fee Payment: 14 November 2026 (5:00 PM)

• Last Date for Receipt of Hard Copy Documents: 21 November 2026

Designation-Wise Vacancies

The 56 faculty openings are distributed across these grades:

• Professor: 10 Posts across Anaesthesia, Biochemistry, Cardiology, ENT, General Medicine, and Pediatrics.

• Additional Professor: 12 Posts across Dermatology, ENT, General Surgery, and Radiodiagnosis.

• Associate Professor: 14 Posts across Cardiothoracic Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Ophthalmology.

• Assistant Professor: 20 Posts across General Medicine, Neurology, Orthopedics, and Pathology.

Pay Scales and Allowances

Faculty members receive 7th CPC central scales with Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA):

• Professor: Pay Level 14A (Rs. 1,68,900 to Rs. 2,20,400 per month) plus NPA.

• Additional Professor: Pay Level 13A2 (Rs. 1,48,200 to Rs. 2,11,400 per month) plus NPA.

• Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A1 (Rs. 1,38,300 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month) plus NPA.

• Assistant Professor: Pay Level 12 (Rs. 1,01,500 to Rs. 1,67,400 per month) plus NPA.

Eligibility Criteria & Age Limits

Candidates must meet National Medical Commission (NMC) qualifications:

• Qualifications: Recognized medical qualification (MBBS) followed by postgraduate qualification (MD, MS, DNB) or super-specialty degree (DM, M.Ch) in the respective specialty.

• Teaching Experience: 14 years for Professor, 10 years for Additional Professor, 6 years for Associate Professor, and 3 years for Assistant Professor post-PG.

• Upper Age Limits: Up to 58 years for Professor and Additional Professor; up to 50 years for Associate and Assistant Professor as on closing date.

Application Fee Structure

Fee must be paid through NEFT or online transfer to AIIMS Gorakhpur:

• General, OBC, and EWS Candidates: Rs. 1,500.

• SC and ST Candidates: Rs. 800.

• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Women Candidates: Exempted from payment.

Selection Process

The Standing Selection Committee (SSC) reviews candidate publications, research achievements, and teaching track record. Shortlisted candidates appear for a personal interview before the selection board in Gorakhpur or New Delhi.
