Chhattisgarh State Power Companies have opened registration for 1501 posts of Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineer, Data Entry Operator, and Line Attendant. Apply online at cspc.co.in by 26 November 2026.
Chhattisgarh State Power Companies form the energy backbone of central India. Following the unbundling of the erstwhile Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Electricity Boards, the state established dedicated entities: Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited (CSPTCL), Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL), and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL). Together, these power utilities manage extra-high-voltage transmission networks, thermal and hydel generating stations, and last-mile consumer distribution networks across 33 districts.
Rapid industrial expansion, rural electrification projects, and grid modernization have increased operational load across substations and powerhouses. Maintaining 400 kV, 220 kV, and 132 kV transmission lines requires qualified technical manpower. Simultaneously, customer billing automation and feeder segregation demand computer-trained clerical staff. To meet these human resource requirements, CSPTCL has issued joint recruitment notifications 01/2026 and 02/2026 to fill 1501 vacancies across regular cadres.
Selected candidates will receive comprehensive orientation at the Power Companies Training Institute before field deployment. These posts carry regular pay scales with pension benefits, provident fund, medical coverage, and electricity concessions under state electricity board service regulations. Don't miss this opportunity to build a long-term engineering or clerical career in the state power sector.
The 1501 vacancies are distributed across technical engineering cadres, commercial operations, and clerical positions:
1. Assistant Engineer (AE - Class II Gazetted Equivalent): 88 vacancies across Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Science streams. AE recruits oversee grid substations, generation dispatch, relay testing, and major infrastructure capital projects.
2. Junior Engineer (JE - Class III Technical): 542 vacancies across Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics disciplines. Junior Engineers supervise line maintenance, distribution transformer maintenance, substation shifts, and fault rectification.
3. Data Entry Operator (DEO - Class III Ministerial): 385 vacancies in headquarters, regional accounts offices, and distribution division offices. Operators manage consumer billings, ERP data entries, store inventories, and official correspondence.
4. Line Attendant / Substation Attendant (Class IV Technical): 450 vacancies for field operations. Attendants perform line patrolling, tree clearance near live lines, breaker operations, and emergency fault isolation under engineer guidance.
5. Accounts and Administrative Officers: 36 vacancies for qualified finance professionals handling audit, corporate accounts, revenue reconciliation, and payroll management.
Category-wise reservations apply in accordance with the Chhattisgarh Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act. Eligible candidates must hold a valid permanent domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh to claim quota benefits.
