District Medical and Health Officer Bhadradri Kothagudem has announced 95 healthcare vacancies under the National Health Mission. Eligible candidates can submit offline application forms between 09 November and 13 November 2026.
Bhadradri Kothagudem is a predominant tribal and industrial district in Telangana, bordered by Godavari river basins and mineral-rich coal belts managed by Singareni Collieries. Providing accessible, comprehensive primary and secondary healthcare across remote tribal hamlets (Gudem), agency tracts, and dense mining settlements presents distinct public health challenges. Under the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department of Telangana, the District Health Society administers Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs), and Basti Dawakhanas.
The National Health Mission (NHM) and National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) serve as central centrally sponsored financing vehicles to bridge human resource deficits in public health institutions. Expanding maternal and child healthcare, universal immunization, non-communicable disease (NCD) screening, and round-the-clock emergency obstetric services require qualified clinicians, nursing officers, pharmacists, and medical laboratory technicians. To staff healthcare facilities across Bhadradri Kothagudem district, the District Collector and District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) have issued Advertisement Number E1/3467/DM&HO/NHM/2026 for 95 posts on a contract and outsourcing basis.
Appointees will deliver medical care at the grassroots level, managing outpatient clinics, diagnostic laboratories, and immunization camps across rural agency mandals. These positions offer competitive monthly consolidated remuneration, professional service certificates, and weightage marks in future regular medical recruitment drives conducted by the Medical Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) of Telangana. Don't delay your submission because the application window remains open for only five days.
Bhadradri Kothagudem features extensive tribal agency tracts encompassing Paloncha, Yellandu, Manuguru, Bhadrachalam, Dammapeta, and Aswaraopeta mandals. Delivering healthcare in these forested regions demands active outreach programs targeting seasonal vector-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue, sickle cell anemia screening, and maternal nutrition tracking.
Medical Officers and Staff Nurses recruited under this drive will manage UPHCs and Basti Dawakhanas, providing free primary clinical consultations, basic laboratory investigations, and essential generic medicines to urban slum dwellers and daily wage earners. Lab Technicians operate semi-automated biochemistry analyzers and hematology cell counters, while Pharmacists manage digital medicine inventories through the e-Aushadhi portal.
The 95 vacancies under notification E1/3467/DM&HO/NHM/2026 are distributed across clinical and paramedical disciplines:
1. Medical Officer (MBBS): 18 vacancies. Doctors conduct daily outpatient clinics, manage maternal ante-natal checkups, monitor national tuberculosis elimination protocols, and refer emergency cases to area hospitals.
2. Staff Nurse: 42 vacancies. Nurses provide bedside patient care, assist in normal deliveries, administer routine childhood vaccines, monitor labor room protocols, and maintain patient health charts.
3. Lab Technician Grade II: 14 vacancies. Technicians perform blood groupings, hemoglobin estimations, sputum microscopy, rapid diagnostic tests for malaria, and urine chemistry analysis.
4. Pharmacist Grade II: 11 vacancies. Pharmacists dispense prescribed medicines, maintain temperature-sensitive vaccine cold chains, counsel patients on drug dosages, and manage medical store ledgers.
5. Support Staff / Attendants: 10 vacancies. Attendants maintain clinic sanitation, assist elderly patients, transport laboratory samples, and support hospital maintenance.
Reservation rosters for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes (Groups A, B, C, D, E), and Economically Weaker Sections are implemented strictly according to Presidential Orders governing local cadre reservations in Telangana.
