Office of the District and Sessions Judge Nuh has invited applications for 8 vacancies of Stenographer Grade-III on adhoc basis. Qualified graduates with English shorthand proficiency can submit applications by 25 November 2026.
Nuh Sessions Division operates under the superintendence of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh. The judicial complex at Nuh oversees administration of criminal and civil justice across the Mewat region of southern Haryana, including the sub-divisional judicial court at Ferozepur Jhirka.
Court stenographers hold an essential confidential position in judicial proceedings. They take down verbatim depositions of witnesses, dictation of interlocutory orders, and final judgments delivered in open court by district and additional sessions judges, civil judges, and judicial magistrates.
To prevent delays in judgment delivery caused by staff retirements and transfers, the administrative judge has approved contractual appointments of Stenographer Grade-III personnel. The engagement is initially for a period of six months or until regular appointments are finalized through the High Court centralized recruitment board.
This opening offers graduates from Haryana and neighboring states an opportunity to serve in the district judiciary, refine their professional shorthand transcription skills, and draw a monthly consolidated salary of Rs. 25,500.
Under official recruitment notification dated 06 November 2026 issued by the District and Sessions Judge Nuh, a total of 8 vacancies for Stenographer Grade-III are distributed across reservation categories:
1. General Category (Unreserved): 3 vacancies open to all eligible Indian citizens.
2. Scheduled Caste (Deprived SC): 1 vacancy reserved for candidates belonging to notified deprived scheduled castes of Haryana.
3. Backward Class Block-A (BC-A): 2 vacancies reserved for recognized BC-A candidates of Haryana with valid non-creamy layer certificates.
4. Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 1 vacancy reserved for eligible EWS candidates possessing Haryana income and asset certificates.
5. Ex-Servicemen (ESM BC-B): 1 vacancy reserved for eligible ex-servicemen belonging to Backward Class Block-B.
In the event of non-availability of suitable candidates from reserved categories, posts may be filled in accordance with High Court guidelines and state reservation rosters.
