The 29 openings are spread across six specialized cadres:

• Scientist 'B' (R&D): 4 Posts (Metallurgy/Materials Science: 2, Mechanical: 2).

• Officer 'B' (Finance & Accounts): 1 Post (Deputation cadre).

• Technical Assistant 'A': 7 Posts (Metallurgy: 3, Mechanical: 2, Electrical: 1, Chemistry: 1).

• Assistant 'A': 6 Posts across Administration, HRD, Finance, and Stores.

• Technician 'A': 7 Posts in mechanical, electrical, and workshop trades.

• Driver 'A': 4 Posts for staff transport operations.

Eligibility Criteria and Educational Standards

Check these qualification requirements before applying:

• Scientist 'B': First class B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.

• Technical Assistant 'A': B.Sc. in Physical Sciences with Chemistry, OR 3-year full-time Diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized State Board.

• Assistant 'A': Bachelor Degree in any discipline with at least 3 years administrative experience in government or autonomous scientific bodies.

• Technician 'A': 10th pass with ITI certificate in relevant trade.

• Driver 'A': 10th pass with valid light and heavy motor vehicle driving licence.

• Age Limits: Up to 35 years for Scientist B, 30 years for Technical Assistant, 28 years for Assistant and Technician, and 25 years for Driver (relaxations for SC/ST/OBC apply).

Application Fee and Payment Method

Pay the prescribed fee online via the integrated SBI Collect portal:

• Scientist 'B' and Officer 'B': Rs. 500 for General/OBC candidates.

• Technical Assistant and Assistant: Rs. 300 for General/OBC candidates.

• Technician and Driver: Rs. 200 for General/OBC candidates.

• SC, ST, PwBD, Women, and Ex-Servicemen: 100% Fee Exemption (Nil).

Selection Process Stages

Candidates will undergo a competitive two-phase evaluation:

1. Written Examination: Objective test covering general mental ability, English, and trade/engineering discipline knowledge.

2. Trade/Skill Test or Interview: Practical trade test for Technicians and Drivers; interview round for Scientist B candidates.
