MP Police Constable Exam Pattern Overview

Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, conducts the recruitment test for MP Police Constable GD and Constable Driver posts. The selection process includes a Computer Based Test followed by Physical Efficiency Test and driving trade assessment.

The written test contains 100 objective multiple choice questions for 100 marks. The test duration is 120 minutes. There is no negative marking in the written test, which encourages candidates to attempt all questions systematically.

Written Test Subjects and Marks

• General Knowledge & Reasoning: 40 Questions, 40 Marks. Covers Madhya Pradesh history, geography, current events, and logical reasoning.

• Intellectual Ability & Mental Aptitude: 30 Questions, 30 Marks. Evaluates analytical comprehension, problem solving, and spatial visualization.

• Science & Simple Arithmetic: 30 Questions, 30 Marks. Tests Class 10 level general physics, chemistry, biology, and elementary mathematics.

• Driver Trade Test: 50 Marks practical driving skill test for candidates applying for Constable Driver vacancies.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Standards

Physical test marks directly count toward final merit calculation for Constable General Duty posts:

• 800 Metres Run: Scored based on timing, up to a maximum of 40 marks.

• Long Jump: Scored based on distance covered across three attempts, up to a maximum of 30 marks.

• Shot Put (Gola Phenk): Scored based on throw distance, up to a maximum of 30 marks.

• Total Physical Score: 100 Marks. Candidates must practice running and strength workouts alongside classroom preparation.
